Quarantine Quartet
...
Quarantine is the trombone quartet that connects the many different facets of music, drawing from the diverse personalities and backgrounds of its members.
The group was born during a unique historical moment — the quarantine — a time when musicians deeply craved human connection and closeness.
During this period, the quartet launched and managed several masterclasses, both through online teaching, involving prestigious guest artists such as Christian Lindberg, Joseph Alessi, Enzo Turriziani, Massimo La Rosa, Nicola Ferro, Corrado Colliard, and many other renowned trombonists, and in person in Valle d'Aosta, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, with the support of international guests such as Floriano Rosini, Simone Candotto, Andrea Bandini, and Emanuele Breda.

The quartet’s concert activity ranges from classical repertoire to original works written specifically for the ensemble.
It also produced a unique theatre-music performance, tailored and developed in collaboration with actress Paola Corti, featuring live electronics as a core creative element. The project, titled Pàthos – Variations on “The Plague” by A. Camus, blends literature, music, and technology.

Currently, the group performs regularly in various locations across Italy, collaborating with important concert seasons and festivals.
If we had to summarize the spirit of Quarantine Quartet, the best image would be that of a puzzle: its edges may not be perfect, but the pieces fit together seamlessly to form a clear and meaningful picture.
