BOA is the premier European summer opera festival program providing practical professional instruction to emerging artists in the most operatically important city in the world. The forthcoming OPERNFEST 2025 Summer Festival repertoire includes:

- A place in BOA's orchestra playing for two or four BOA: OPERNFEST productions

Audition repertoire
Repertoire Requirements: Please upload two recordings that best display your musical abilities. We recommend one excerpt from an operatic or symphonic work and one solo or piano-accompanied piece.
General Guidelines:
  1. One video including the required program. Cuts between movements/excerpts are allowed.
  2. The recording should not be older than one year.
  3. Piano accompaniment is not necessary.

Viola:
  • First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto (e.g. Hoffmeister, Stamitz, Bartók, Walton, Casadeus).
  • Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of the applicant’s choice.
