Savannah Philharmonic
Now celebrating their 16th Season, the Savannah Philharmonic is a community focused arts organization which strives to present exceptional concert programming and music education offerings of the highest caliber throughout Savannah and the southeast region.
Comprised of a professional orchestra and community chorus, and led by the masterful baton of Keitaro Harada, the SavPhil performs a vast range of works from composers of the past and present, and in all genres from classical to contemporary.
Under the visionary leadership of the Executive Director, a committed Board of Directors, and dedicated staff of six, the organization focuses on fostering community and inspiring a true appreciation of music through equitable access to performances and music education programs. Season highlights include the free Phil the Neighborhoods Series, the annual Phil the Park event in Forsyth Park, and concerts at The Lucas Theatre for the Arts and other venues.
Music Education initiatives currently include: The Ben Tucker Instrument Library, SavPhil Strings, Student Concerts and the All-Star Ensemble.
