Symphonic music everywhere and for everyone in the Île-de-France region - that's the Orchestra's mission! Each season, its 95 permanent musicians give around 100 concerts, offering the people of the Île-de-France region the richness of a repertoire spanning four centuries of music. The Orchestra stands out for its desire and commitment to share its passion for symphonic heritage and make it accessible to all.

Recognized as one of the 20 orchestras in the world most involved in cultural action, it imagines and develops creative educational actions that place children at the heart of the pedagogical project - notably through numerous participatory concerts and musical performances for the whole family.
As the first French ensemble to offer a facility for recording film music, in support of the Ile-de-France region's policy of supporting the cinema, the orchestra is equipped with a studio featuring innovative and attractive technology. It pursues a dynamic audiovisual policy. 
The Orchestre national d'Île-de-France is a frequent guest at prestigious festivals in France and abroad.

Created in 1974, the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France is financed by the Conseil régional d'Île-de-France and the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication.
