Conductors Academy
Established in 2009 by Jonathan Brett and Maciej Żółtowski under the patronage of the legendary Russian maestro, Yuri Simonov, the Conductors Academy has a simple objective: to develop and disseminate knowledge about the development of the highest levels of conducting skill and musical interpretation. Our programmes are for those who view the podium not as a goal in itself, but as the starting point for beautiful music. We provide a launchpad for those aiming to transition to real mastery of both musical interpretation and the management of sound through gesture.
To conduct an orchestra at the highest level requires more than knowledge—it demands the authority, vision, and musical fluency which arise from deep understanding of the complex processes involved in managing collective sound. At the Conductors Academy we break these processes down into comprehensible parts and build the technical and musical understanding from which real artistry can develop and flourish.
In order to make the process of acquiring these skills as accessible as possible to those with talent, we also provide substantial scholarship assistance - which can amount to up to 90% of tuition fees.
