LEAD! Lab Bergen - Masterclass for Conductors and Composers

The masterclass takes place during a rehearsal week with Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Magnus Lindberg & the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. The participants are invited to join all the orchestral rehearsals during the masterclass, and the programme includes Bruckner's 7th Symphony and Lindberg's new concerto for two pianos and orchestra.

5 active conductors and 5 active composers will be selected. Conductors receive individual conducting video sessions with Saraste. Composers receive individual composition lessons with Lindberg. Observer places are also available.

Topics include artistic collaboration, communication, commissioning, interpreting new music, professional practice, networking & career development. Open orchestral rehearsals, seminars and discussions are included. All ages & nationalities are welcome, and the masterclass is facilitated in English.
