OrchestraPLAN for Musicians

What does OrchestraPLAN do?

OrchestraPLAN helps classical musicians to stay up to date with upcoming orchestra auditions. It covers orchestras from Europe (Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and many more) and the United States. OrchestraPLAN uses official orchestra websites to get the most accurate and up-to-date information.

How can I access this information?

There are three main ways to see actual open positions: the list on the home page, interactive map, and email update. The list on the home page allows filtering open positions by instrument and location. The interactive map allows for exploring where orchestras are located and which open positions they have. Filtering is also available. Finally, automatic email updates. Both the home page and interactive map allow subscribe to automatic email updates according to your desired filter. Each email brings information about new open positions, updates to existing positions as well as positions that were removed.

What are the benefits of subscribing to email updates?

Receiving a curated email with jobs for a specific instrument could benefit musicians in various ways. Most importantly it ensures that important job postings are not missed. It also helps to save a lot of time which can be used for practicing instead of constantly checking dozens of orchestra websites. The earlier musician knows about an audition the easier it is to prepare the repertoire, plan the trip, and organize free days at their current job.

Do I need to pay for this service?

No, at the moment OrchestraPLAN is completely free. We will let you know if we have any changes in this area.
