Chicago Summer Opera 2026

The Chicago Summer Opera Orchestra Program provides instrumentalists with an intensive and rewarding opportunity to perform in fully staged opera productions while receiving direct mentorship from world-class faculty. Each summer, the orchestra performs six operas (three per session), offering participants unparalleled exposure to a diverse repertoire spanning from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary works. With its blend of performance, mentorship, and career preparation, the Chicago Summer Opera Orchestra Program is ideal for instrumentalists looking to refine their artistry, expand their professional network, and launch their careers in opera and orchestral performance.

Participants are welcome to attend one or both sessions.

Tuition
$1,650 per session
Audition based scholarship available. Over $240,000 in scholarship was given last season.
Financial aid & Work study available
Housing is not included.
