The International Chamber Orchestra Academy Philippsburg, founded by the composer Matthias Hutter, is a worldwide academy for music students and outstanding young musicians who want to perfect their orchestral skills unter the baton of the internationally acclaimed conductor Adam Szmidt.
The Academy will conclude with the world premiere of the "Musik für Orchester und eine Frauenstimme, op. 32n" by Matthias Hutter combined with great works of music history such as Tschaikowsky's 6th Symphony, two arias from Bizet's Carmen, Sibelius' Finlandia and the prelude to the third act from Richard Wagner's opera Lohengrin., in two public concerts.
We are delighted to have the Bulgarian conductor Deyan Pavlov as our ‘Special Guest Conductor’. He performed at numerous opera houses around the world. We are also very pleased to announce that we have been able to engage the fantastic young Russian mezzo-soprano Anastasia Medvedeva for the academy.
The concerts and all rehearsals will take place in the Philippsburg Art Nouveau Hall.
